We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the “Train-the-Trainers” programme carried out under the Erasmus+ project FARMIN (Inclusion through Social Farming). Over the course of the program, participants from various partner organizations based in Italy, Slovenia, and Greece followed capacity-building modules designed to prepare them to act as multipliers and local trainers on social farming practices.
Highlights of the Programme
-
The training brought together diverse stakeholders — including farmers, trainers, project partners, and community facilitators — to deepen understanding of social farming approaches, sustainable rural development, and participatory methodologies.
-
Emphasis was placed on hands-on techniques, co-creation, and the integration of theoretical and field-based practices.
-
Participants have now acquired the skills to train others locally and to adapt the FARMIN curriculum in their own contexts.
Open Access Training Material
A central outcome of the activity is the development of a comprehensive Training Tool for Social Farmers. This learning material served as the backbone of the Train-the-Trainers sessions, and is now publicly available for free, open access:

We encourage educators, practitioners, NGOs, community groups, farmers, and any interested individuals to use, adapt, and share this resource in their own learning contexts.
We congratulate all participants and partners for their dedication and collaboration, and we look forward to seeing the multiplier effect as these newly trained facilitators begin training others across regions.
