From May 5 to 6, 2025, the partners of the FARM’IN – Inclusion through Social Farming project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, convened in Patras, Greece, for a productive transnational meeting. The event was hosted by the Achaia Chamber’s Development Entity (AXEPAN), bringing together representatives from Italy, Greece, and Slovenia to assess the project’s progress and strengthen international cooperation in the field of social farming.

The FARM’IN project aims to develop a comprehensive training program tailored to social farming practitioners and trainers. It also facilitates the international exchange of best practices in social entrepreneurship, with a focus on inclusion and practical skill development.

During the meeting, the following key topics were addressed:

  • Review of the implementation of the Train-the-Trainers program in each partner country

  • Co-creation of educational content designed to support social farming professionals, with an emphasis on social inclusion and core competencies

  • Brainstorming on the creation of a quality label certifying key skills in social farming

  • Planning strategies for effective communication and stakeholder engagement in the next project phases

The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Danai Katsanta (Project Manager for ACHADE), Mr. Panagiotis Christias (Financial Officer for ACHADE), and Dr. Dimitrios Karagiannis (Director of ACHADE).

The participating organizations included:

  • Agricoltura Capodarco Società Cooperativa Sociale (Italy – Lead Partner)

  • Consorzio sociale Co.In Società Cooperativa Sociale (Italy)

  • Pribinovina d.o.o. – Korenika Social Farm (Slovenia)

  • Achaia Chamber’s Development Entity – ACHADE (Greece)

As part of ACHADE’s broader strategy to promote regional outward-looking policies and disseminate EU best practices to local businesses, the project partners were also welcomed by the President of the Achaia Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Theodoros Louloudis, ACHADE’s Legal Representative, Mr. Ioannis Christopoulos, and members of the Chamber’s Board. Discussions highlighted the importance of ongoing synergies between stakeholders across borders in the field of rural entrepreneurship. These efforts support the foundation of a dedicated Agricultural Division within the Achaia Chamber of Commerce.

Each partner meeting is also a unique opportunity to experience the host country’s culture and deepen mutual understanding, relationships that are essential to the project’s success.

A heartfelt thank you to our Greek hosts for their warmth, professionalism, and wonderful hospitality, including a shared lunch that reflected the spirit of cooperation.
