The FARM’IN project focuses on transforming vocational and technical training (VET) in the agricultural sector by introducing an advanced training model in social farming.

SCOPE OF THE “FARMING OPERATORS TRAINING TOOL”: 

The training course for operators within the FARM’IN project is designed with the clear objective of advancing social farming as a tool for inclusion and innovation in the agricultural sector. This course is intended to provide hands-on skills and practical knowledge for those directly involved in the daily operations of social farming. This training ensures that operators are well-prepared to contribute to inclusive agricultural activities, while also promoting sustainable and innovative practices.

The training course for operators involves 45 total hours of blended learning, also conducted by one teacher. This course focuses on skill transfer and practical applications in the field of social farming.

“FARMING OPERATORS TRAINING”COURSE STRUCTURE

The Farming Operators Training Course is structured through 3 Modules containing sub-chapters related to each topic: 

Module 1: Foundations of Social Farming and Inclusive Practices 

 

Module 2: Practical Skills for Implementing Social Farming Activities 

 

Module 3: Key Principles of Social Farming: Building a Sustainable Social Farming Business module

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Understand the core principles, goals, and benefits of social farming.
  • Recognize the competencies and resources needed to start or engage in social farming.
  • Appreciate the social, economic, and environmental impact of social farming.

This detailed framework ensures participants gain both a conceptual and practical understanding of social farming, preparing them for operating in the field of social farming.

Objective: Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of what social farming is, why it is important, and how it benefits individuals, communities, and the environment. This module sets the foundation for beginners, introducing the core principles, benefits, and competencies required for successful social farming.
